Hollie Chamberlain is a 2020 UCA graduate and Freelance Photographer. She uses photography and colour to construct scenes which contextualise emotion, playfulness, science and space. Her photography is reminiscent of surreal and abstract imagery, combining familiar objects with unfamiliar environments.
Hollie has been honing a fine art style mixing still life and portraiture to express ideas and theories about the world around, experimenting with flash, medium format, scanography, ultraviolet light and filters to create humorous, relatable and dreamlike imagery. Most of her works are puzzling and encourages audiences involvement in creating their own meaning and narrative of the works.
Hollie’s main inspirations have been Toiletpaper Magazine, which features very surrealist imagery, William Eggleston the pioneer of colour photography and Luke and Nik, with their experimental and constructive techniques.
In 2021, Hollie found a passion for Behind the Scenes photography and has been collaborating with Hollowshock Productions Ltd ever since, capturing everything that goes on during filming and on set from the actors to the film crew, incorporating her love for colour and emotion.
